Each year Mario's Soldiers pairs up with local schools and organizations to set up drop-off locations for donation items.
It all began at Coral Park Senior High, the alma mater of PFC Marius L. Ferrero. Mario's Soldiers connected with the Honors Society Sponsor Teacher at the time, Mr. Pena, and the first toy drive was established.
Now more than a decade later, we have multiple schools and organizations that have helped set up drop-off locations around the South Florida area.
Items needed include Clothing, Food, & Toys.
Clothing should be in good condition and/or slightly worn.
Food should be canned food and/or non-perishable items.
Toys must be new and unwrapped.
Items are separated and distributed to under served families and children in South Florida around the holiday season.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions.
Your generous donation will fund our mission.
The kids from Mr. Sanchez' class at Miami Coral Park Senior High have donated toys for Mario's Toy Drive!
This year's Mario's Toy Drive has been a success, and the kids from Mr.Sanchez' class at Miami Coral Park Senior High have done an outstanding job!
The students at Miami Coral Park Senior High have donated presents to help Mario's Toy Drive, and they did it because PFC Marius L. Ferrero was a graduate from there! The student body here will never forget what he did for our country as an active member in the US Army when we needed him most.
The donated toys that will be given away during the holiday season to underprivileged children -- and we just want to share so all can see what amazing people the students really are!!
We were so inspired by the Miami Coral Park Senior High School students who donated their time and gifts to help Mario's Toy Drive! The kids from Mr. Sanchez' class at this school really know how make a difference in others lives. PFC Marius Ferrero loved his High school,, so it feels great knowing that his legacy will continue on through them because of what wonderful young adults they are becoming-donating toys for some less fortunate children during the holidays is just one small way towards something bigger which hopefully helps build selflessness within these future leaders as well as inspire more
This year marked Mario’s Toy Drive's 13th anniversary which has given rise to yet another way to show how much good there truly is in this world.
This year, our annual Mario's Toy Drive was a huge success!
Hundreds of toys were donated for less fortunate children who would have been spending Christmas without a toy to call their own. The drop-off boxes in the classes of our partner schools were filled with toys during this holiday season, which made a huge difference for these children in need. Many thanks to our sponsors Rene Gomez and Sepa Florida, our volunteers from the Honors Society Clubs at Miami Art Studio High School and Miami Coral Park Senior High School, and everyone who donated toys.
The toys will now be sorted and distributed by Mario's Soldiers with the help of our friends at Ronald McDonald's House, Kiwanis of Little Havana, and Camillus House.
These toys were collected in honor of PFC Marius L Ferrero, a graduate of Miami Coral Park Senior High School, for his sacrifice during Operation Iraqui Freedom. He is an inspiration to all of us and we are proud to have him as our hero. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!
